We are a genealogical society offering membership to any woman 18 years or older regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution. DAR is a non-profit, non-political volunteer women's service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history, and securing America's future through better education for children.
The Jerusalem Chapter is located in Wantagh, Long Island, New York, a.k.a. "The Gateway to Jones Beach." All meetings are held at the Wantagh Public Library unless otherwise stated. We gather in the Community Room and the library is located at 3285 Park Avenue, Wantagh, NY. Guests are cordially welcome. Each regular meeting comprises of devotions, patriotic excercises, a message from the President General. Additionally, we devote at least five minutes to National defense, one minute or so each to Famous Women, Women's Issues, Native Americans and Conservation. Each business meeting is followed by refreshments and a program.
